This Fall Internship is from September through December 12th (start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules) and all candidates must be able to work 10-29 hours/week, in person in the specified office location. This position is ideal for a student enrolled in an accredited college or university interested in continuing their education through professional experience.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: Global Real Estate and Facilities, Workspace Solutions Team supports the Culver City studio lot and its population by maintaining the lot's buildings and infrastructure and providing office space and associated services (e.g., design services) for the company’s business units. The department also manages and maintains off-lot properties, both locally and globally, designs, manages, and executes construction projects on the lot.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The department is evaluating of our studio lot buildings to assess the condition of architectural elements and building systems.The intern will work closely with the project manager and both the Facilities Workspace Solutions team as well as our Facilities. Security and Backlot Operations team to identify and document existing conditions as well as establish a scheduled cadence for maintenance, refresh, replacement, and/or necessary upgrades of space and equipment.
Tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Field verification to determine ADA compliance at all involved buildings.
- Working with Facilities Operations and engineers to document gathered building systems information.
- Working with Security to identify code compliance safety issues.
- Update presentations deck.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Architectural education or experience required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Presentation document experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Autocad
- Archibus
- Adobe suite of programs
- Ability to create space plans and other architectural documents
- Bluebeam Revu 21
