Our internship program is designed for students currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, as well as individualsseekingto deepen their education through immersive, professional experience in the entertainment industry.
Department Description:
TheGlobal Digital Marketing Departmentat Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the digital-first strategies that bring the studio’s film properties to global audiences. As a hub of innovation, collaboration, and creative storytelling, the departmentis responsible forbuilding culturally relevant, digitally integrated, social media campaigns that maximize reach, engagement, and impact across a variety of platforms.
Responsibilities:
Assistin the development and execution of social media strategies for each film.
Update Key Dates, Calendars, Marketing Decks, and social team documents on a weekly basis.
Identifyand report on what captures people’s attention onsocialand drives conversation. Keep a finger on the pulse of social trends, new platformfeaturesand best practices.
Assistin the planning and execution of each film’s day-to-day social media strategy.
Researchemergingsocial platforms and update the team on actionable next steps to engage with new audiences.
Provide support for social media events including activities at virtual press junkets, premieres,special events,talent Q&As, etc. Have your hand in all aspects of the Digital Department taking part in content creation for social platforms and media-focused initiatives.
Develop and implement a college-focused social campaign strategy collaborating and cross-promoting with other Marketing Departments where applicable.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in school or university during the duration of theinternship.
Knowledge of social media trends and social networking tools.
Strong creative instincts and high attention to detail.
Strong workethic, communication skills and the ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word,PowerPointand Google Docs. Abilities in Photoshop/other editing softwareisnotrequiredbutisa plus.
An eye fordeveloping and critically viewing content under an intersectionallens.
Positiveattitude isa must.
Avid interest in Entertainment Marketing.
