SPE is accepting applications for aSpecialist to support our ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System for facilitieslocatedon the west coast of the United States. This role will also be responsible for state regulatory reportingto comply with environmental reporting requirements and project manage progress towards site Green Management 2030 targets. The candidate will be a self-starter with excellent time management skills who has demonstrated knowledge in the field and the ability to manage essential tasks across several sites. The candidate will also be able to handle large quantities of data and identify opportunities for improvement and growth. This position is based at the SPE corporate offices located in Culver City.
Primary Responsibilities
This role manages ISO 14001 and 45001 management systems and GEMS reporting requirements across sites:
Manage the systems documentation of EHS programs including hazardous waste, training, chemical management, and facility compliance requirements.
Collect, analyze, and report monthly, quarterly, and annual data to SGC. Manage the data aggregationand quality assurance for non-production activity.
Work with the EHSteam to create policies, procedures, and work instructions
Review all documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established deliverables and standards.
Oversee completion of compliance calendar and corrective action plans.Organize and participate in multiple 3rd-party audits each year, including the internal audit done by SGC and external certification audits by Bureau Veritas.
Lead the ISOImplementation Committees and establish annual objectives and targets that are tracked and measured. Respond to Sony Group Corporation inquiries and rationale for large data variances.
Prepare ISO system annual reports for review with upper management
Verify the implementation of corrective and preventative actions necessary to achieve targetsand ensure the integrity of the management system is maintained.
Partner with MEP Operations on energy management program at Sony Pictures Studios.
Project manage SPE’s human rights governance initiative to validatecompliance withupcoming regulatory requirements.
Lead and report on employee engagement activities,including but not limited to;bi-monthly communications, external and internal website management, and on-site events.
Partner with Administrative and Facilities teams to achieve zero waste targets, including eliminating single-use plastic.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
1+ years of professional experience with ISO systems, energy management, and/or EHS
Ability to work effectively both individually and as a team
Excellent oral, organizational, and written communication skills
Proficient with large quantities of data and possess analytical skills
Interest and skills in problem-solving, creative thinking, and handling a variety of tasks
Adept in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (Visio and SharePoint are also helpful)
Preferred Qualities
Knowledge of ISO systems
Completed ISO 14001 and/or 45001 auditor training
Knowledge of environmental health and sciences and/or occupational health and safety
Experience working with regulatory agencies and auditors
Experience working in corporate and/or industrial settings
