SPE INTERN:

This Fall Internship is from September through December 12th (start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules) and all candidates must be able to work 10-29 hours/week, in person in the specified office location. This position is ideal for a student enrolled in an accredited college or university interested in continuing their education through professional experience.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
This role is a part of the Sony Pictures Television, Game Shows Brand Creative and Digital Marketing team. Our team supports tentpole IPs for Sony and the Game Shows Division, including Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune. This position reports into the Senior Manager, Creative Operations & Production.
This role is not intended to support on-set production and is not the same as a film producer. The purpose of this role is to help our in-house creative producers and writer/producers manage branding & marketing pre-production, production, and post-production lifecycles. Especially our graphics producers, on-air producers, and special projects producers. They will assist with content for graphics projects, social/digital support, developmental reels/trailers, and more. And support internal stakeholders like Development, Licensing (which also includes events/experiential) and the shows themselves. This person should be able to excel in a team environment, especially since they’ll be supporting multiple producers, and should always work toward a collective goal of the highest level of creative and efficiency.
They will assist in a wide range of ways, everything from note taking and initiating/tracking requests in our production management tools, to organizing and QC’ing content, scheduling internal reviews and compile/consolidate feedback, help build out timelines, coordinate with our creative resources and our Creative Directors, liaise with stakeholders who are submitting requests, cover our producers while they’re out of office, and other duties. This is an opportunity to gain hands on experience in the creative production lifecycle, for a range of projects spanning main titles, show graphics packages and logos, sizzle reels and trailers, presentations and decks, developing brand identities, events/experiential, print and custom installations, and more.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Major Duties and Responsibilities
75% Help to produce, plan, and develop creative for a variety of needs across branding, graphics, and video production workflows. Assist with organizing, logging, QC’ing and more for editorial process from concept/script to edit to finishing, including sound design, mixing, color grading, graphics, VFX shots, VO direction, and final output. Help our producers/creative producers supervise and direct designers, preditors & other post-production team members. Will help to manage/collaborate on the development of all production elements (i.e., graphics, scripts, music, shoots, etc.). Should have strong communication skills and a solid understanding of creative production lifecycles for different deliverables, including a baseline understanding of the overall vision and execution of the creative needed for any campaign. When needed, help to Q.C. all masters before delivery, maintaining technical, creative, and branding standards. Accurately document work related information, manage assets and archive projects accordingly and support through final delivery delivery. Support your producers as they interface with network executives from various departments (i.e., Publicity, Marketing, Programming, Program Development, Sales, etc.), outside agencies and showrunners.
15% Help to brief, collaborate, and provide feedback to creative resources working on these projects, including designers and editors.
10% Ability to juggle heavy workload and keep multiple projects on track. Ability to pivot quickly. Help maintain an efficient workflow and process and promptly communicates any issues to management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Work Experience Requirements
- 1-2 years in production in marketing services, creative service agencies, network promotions or a similar field
- Primary skills include excellent verbal and written communication, strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Adapts quickly, good at problem solving, time and project management
- Able to help manage projects from concept through execution with guidance from producers
- Highly motivated self-starter
- Detail-oriented
- Good at taking notes, especially during live meetings that move quickly
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Background in entertainment
- Broadcast, digital, print, experiential a plus
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelors Program focused on a relevant field.
