Our Trainee program is designed for recent graduates or those looking to make a career shift, as well as individuals seeking to deepen their professional development through immersing experiences in the entertainment industry.
We are looking for someone ready to go above and beyond, learning in a studio work environment, to assist with digital creative and influencer marketing efforts for Sony Pictures’ slate of films and television shows, which spans Columbia, Sony Pictures Television, Sony Pictures Classics and Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions. The Digital Creative trainee would be someone knowledgeable of the social and digital landscape and interested in film, television, online marketing, social media, and pop culture. They should have knowledge across social platforms and interest in marketing for film and television releases. This role would collaborate on a day-to-day basis with the Digital, Brand, Social and Media Marketing Department to create positive and impactful brand conversation within the social space.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies for film and television shows which could include websites, influencer marketing, email marketing and/or social platform specific content.
- Identify and report on social digital creative that captures attention and drives conversation. Keep a finger on the pulse of social trends, new platform features, influencers, and best practices.
- Ideate on B2C and B2B digital marketing ideas to drive views, purchases and/or engagement.
- Research and report on emerging social platforms, trends and competitors.
- Assist in scheduling social posts on Sony owned and operated channels and cross-promoting with other Marketing Departments where applicable.
- Handle various administrative tasks such as taking notes, scheduling meetings, invoice processing, archiving digital assets, and building asset toolkits.
Qualifications:
- Interest in Global Entertainment Marketing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Photoshop. Video editing software (i.e. Premiere) skills is a plus, but not required.
- Strong work ethic, communication skills and the ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Great creative instincts and high attention to detail.
- Avid interest film, television and pop culture.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Photoshop, editing, video editing experience would be a major plus.
