We are in the business of creativity - making some of the most beloved film and television content of all time for every platform around the world. As the most creative and proudly independent studio, our future is limitless.

Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE), a division of Sony Corporation, is a global creative entertainment company built on the foundation of innovation and technology. Together with our sister companies, we produce movies, television, music, and games that reach billions of people, connecting creators and audiences globally.

This role is a key position within the London-based TV Distribution team. The successful candidate will bring sales experience, strong analytical capabilities and a collaborative approach to support all aspects of the Nordic & Benelux distribution business.

What you'll do:

  • Work closely with the wider team to support sales initiatives across the territory, achieving and exceeding a percentage of the annual sales budget across our full catalogue, including finished programming and formats.

  • Manage existing deals and partnerships while proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities across the region.

  • Maintain deep product knowledge across SPE’s content categories - particularly unscripted, deep library, foreign language, and Kids/Animation - continually driving incremental revenue opportunities.

Sales, Planning & Analysis

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of all aspects of sales, including product windowing, pricing optimization, and value enhancement, while aligning with business objectives, market conditions and internal processes.

  • Partner with Sales Planning to create client-focused avails - making recommendations based on client feedback - and share updates across the client base as needed.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Research & Analysis and cross-functional teams to analyse data, develop insights on product performance and revenue trends, and present strategic ideas to drive growth.

  • Support Sales Planning with Franchise Alignment updates, SVOD seasonal opportunities and recommended focus areas.

  • Work closely with Research to follow up on client reporting requests per contractual obligations, tracking all reporting requirements internally.

  • Build compelling client-facing presentations in partnership with Sales and Marketing teams to support commercial conversations.

  • Serve as a key support partner to the SVP Nordic Benelux, CEE, Israel, Greece & Africa; and to the Nordic Benelux Sales Director & Senior Sales Manager, including diary management, expenses processing, travel coordination, meeting arrangements, T&E budget inputs, assembling format packs, pitch decks, and client summaries.

Deal Negotiation & Management

  • Independently create, negotiate, and document thoughtful and commercially favourable deals that align with strategic objectives and SPE policies.

  • Command all available data and insights to inform strong deal decision-making.

  • Manage negotiations in collaboration with SPE’s Legal and centralized teams.

  • Maintain up-to-date lists of Sony key format contacts, client contact databases, and sales trackers across all Sony formats, including monitoring option expiry dates.

  • Support the sales team in preparing for client meetings and format pitches.

  • Ensure the business meets all new and existing deal commitments effectively and efficiently.

Financial Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing annual sales budgets and mid-range plans, and help track team expenses to ensure alignment with T&E budgets.

  • Provide sales estimates and projections on individual deals and products, ensuring targets and budgets are met or exceeded, and regularly reporting on performance.

Account Management & Relationship Development

  • Build, strengthen, and nurture positive relationships with key clients, partners, managers, and internal stakeholders.

  • Deeply understand client needs, priorities, and perspectives, and adjust strategies accordingly to support long-term partnerships.

Marketing, Promotions & Publicity

  • Work closely with the Nordic & Benelux Marketing team to support presentations and tactical initiatives that elevate pre-/post-sales efforts, enhance pitches, and strengthen client relationships.

  • When appropriate, guide Marketing and Research teams in developing customized pitch materials tailored to client preferences, style, language, and performance KPIs.

Sony Relationships

  • Develop strong relationships across Sony Pictures Television and other SPE divisions (Theatrical, Home Entertainment, Production, Legal, GMS, People & Organization, etc.).

  • Collaborate and share best practices across cross-LOB and international colleagues, as well as other Sony entities such as Sony Music, Electronics, Sony Mobile, and PlayStation.

Operations

  • Partner with the territory team to continuously refine processes and performance.

  • Work with Operations teams in Los Angeles and London to increase efficiency and accuracy in avail list generation, contract administration, amendments, start/change orders, approvals, draft allocations, product delivery, and related workflows.

What you have:

  • Typically 2–3 years of direct sales experience with a proven track record in a similar TV distribution role.

  • Strong understanding of TV/film distribution models: Free TV, Pay TV, Basic TV, TVOD, EST, SVOD, and PPV.

  • Experience supporting deal negotiations with the ability to analyse, evaluate and communicate opportunities, risks, and uncertainties in collaboration with Legal and other departments.

  • Ability to contribute across the entire sales lifecycle: pre-sales analysis, deal preparation, product presentations, negotiation, execution and post-sales optimization.

  • A confident self-starter with creative and critical thinking skills; thrives under tight deadlines and takes initiative.

  • Proactive problem solver with strong organizational skills; flexible, adaptable, pragmatic and resourceful.

  • Highly confident presentation and sales skills, with proven capability in managing both client and internal relationships.

  • An understanding of technology, digital distribution models and evolving client requirements.

  • A collaborative team player capable of working closely with Legal & Business Affairs, Technology, Marketing, Publicity, Research, Operations, Analysis and other internal teams.

  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills; high proficiency in Excel with experience consolidating and analysing complex data from multiple sources.

  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Word, able to present information clearly and effectively.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to travel occasionally on an ad hoc basis across the territory.
